Frit-in-a-Ferrule™ Filters

Now you can filter at any point in your system where 1/16" or 1/8" OD tubing is used in a flat-bottom 1/4-28, M6 or 5/16-24 connection.

The Upchurch Scientific® Frit-in-a-Ferrule seals and filters simultaneously by incorporating a frit into the body of a ferrule. This simple design allows you to eliminate traditional inline filters and the associated connections in your system.

The Frit-in-a-Ferrule comes in two general designs — standard Flangeless and Super Flangeless. The ferrule body of the standard Flangeless unit is manufactured of Kel-F® (PCTFE) polymer. The ferrule body of the Super Flangeless unit is made of PEEK™ (polyetheretherketone) polymer, and the lock ring is stainless steel.

Each design is available with a built-in 0.5um or 2um stainless steel or biocompatible PEEK frit. The standard Flangeless version can be used with any of the standard Flangeless nuts and the Super Flangeless version must be used with our Super Flangeless nuts.

NOTE: The 1/8" Super Flangeless versions cannot be used in M6 ports (P-370, P-371, P-374 and P-375).
