Titanium Frits

Upchurch Scientific® Titanium frit discs are available in numerous sizes, both with and without polymer sealing rings, in a variety of porosities ranging from 0.2 um to 2 um. When used, a polymer ring surrounding the frit disc ensures enhanced performance and proper sealing. Additionally, the rings are color coded for easier porosity identification:

• 0.2 um -- Red PEEK™ or Kel-F® rings indicate 0.2 um frits.
• 0.5 um -- Blue Kel-F rings indicate 0.5 um frits.
• 2 um -- Yellow Kel-F surrounds these frits.

Titanium frits are generally used in applications where the use of stainless steel is precluded but where polymer frits are also not desired. Titanium is both durable and iron-free, making these frits an all-around solid choice for inline filtration applications.

GENERAL UPCHURCH SCIENTIFIC FRIT INFORMATION:
 Many of our frits have an outer diameter between 0.247" and 0.254". We offer these options to enable our customers to best tailor the frit they choose with their specific application. The porous parts of the frits have different diameters and different porosities, so, depending on your flow rate, you may want to use a larger "filtering face" to achieve good filtering with less backpressure.
